Certification mark text

The use of the certification mark is intended to indicate that the services in association with which it is used are of the following defined standard: the certification mark as used by registered nurses authorized by the Canadian Nurses Association Association des Infirmières et Infirmiers du Canada certifies the quality and competency of the perinatal nursing practices performed by those certified by the Canadian Nurses Association Association des Infirmières et Infirmiers du Canada in perinatal nursing; and indicates that those persons have fulfilled specific standards of education, practical experience and examination in the field of health care relevant to nursing specializing in perinatal nursing care including health promotion, maintenance, rehabilitation, restoration, disease prevention and bereavement. Attached to this application is the Blue Print for Perinatal Nursing Certification which specifically sets out a compilation of competencies required of the Practising Perinatal Nurse and Guidelines on how the competencies are measured to achieve certification in this specific area of practice.
