The use of the certification mark is intended to indicate that the services in association with which it is used are of the following defined standard: The licensee has met all the requirements of The Canadian Securities Institute for granting the DERIVATIVES MARKET SPECIALIST (DMS) designation including appropriate courses and work experience. In particular, candidates for the DERIVATIVES MARKET SPECIALIST (DMS) designation must have successfully completed the following: 1. Derivatives Fundamentals Course; 2. Options Licensing Course; 3. Options Supervisors Course; 4. Futures Licensing Course; 5. Canadian Commodity Supervisors Examination; 6. Technical Analysis Course. In the alternative, candidates must complete the Derivatives Fundamentals Course and 4 elective courses from a total of 8 in the designation stream. Equivalent courses may be acceptable.
