Noble Construction provides civil, mechanical and construction services to large mining and industrial corporations across the Prairies.
Founded and headquartered in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Noble Construction’s values are centered around community. With training initiatives to engage the local workforce and partnerships with local First Nations businesses, they are committed to empowering rural communities. Support from the Accelerated Growth Service (AGS) helped Noble take their business further and gave them the tools they needed to keep growing.
The Challenge: Acquiring capital to support growth
Before joining AGS, Noble Construction had a plan to take their business further but needed help acquiring the capital to make it happen. The business approached AGS with the goal to expand services to underground mining with one of the biggest players in the Potash mining industry. To make it happen, they needed capital equipment financing to acquire the mining equipment. Their Innovation Advisor helped guide them through the process and put them in touch with multiple government partners who offered the kind of support they needed. With support from AGS, Noble construction has created an underground mining service line and identified new growth opportunities. Since then, Noble has seen significant growth and created over 20 full-time mining related employment opportunities.

Business Development Canada’s (BDC) Capital and Equipment financing helped Noble construction acquire essential mining equipment and other capital assets to provide underground mining service in Saskatchewan
Merger and acquisition strategy
Advisory services from BDC helped Noble establish a new umbrella organization, NorthStar Capital Ltd, and acquire ownership in 3 new ventures
Business support in foreign markets
Ongoing support from the Trade Commissioner Service of Global Affairs Canada and Export Development Canada has helped Noble Construction engage with mining companies in foreign markets, including Morocco, the world’s largest producer of phosphate
Funding for R&D projects
Funding secured from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program allowed Noble Construction to hire a graduate student to support the development of their Virtual Reality training modules
