Where family helps family

Malvina Cleaning and Services was created with a simple goal in mind: to help families struggling to keep their home clean while juggling child care and work. It's something co-owner Denis Ndeloh is all too familiar with, having faced similar challenges.

Launched in 2019, Malvina provides state-of-the-art cleaning services and rents janitorial equipment to businesses and residents in Iqaluit, Nunavut's capital.

The company's co-owners and employees are committed to their clients, showing them they care and building relationships at every opportunity. Malvina also recruits talented team members from the community and rewards their loyalty. Whether you're looking for home, office or rental property cleaning or are interested in renting high-end janitorial equipment, Malvina Cleaning can help.

The Challenge

While the business was successful, it wanted to do more. Malvina wanted to increase its visibility and expand into the janitorial equipment rental market. But to do that, it needed an e-commerce website so customers could reserve and pay for the equipment.

With the help of a grant from the Canada Digital Adoption Program, Malvina now has its solution: an online one-stop shop with a website that not only builds awareness of the company's services but also offers e-commerce for customers to reserve and pay for janitorial equipment rentals.

The program represents a huge boost for the business. Even though it's located in a remote area, it too can benefit from e-commerce and offer an important service to residents and local businesses.
