Update to the digital advisor application process

Due to an overwhelming response in the number of digital advisor applications received, the Canada Digital Adoption Program has updated the application process to ensure a streamlined review.  

As of October 5, 2022, digital advisor applicants will be required to complete their application in two steps:

  1. Register

    Fill out the registration form to become a digital advisor on the CDAP website.

  2. Create an account

    Once you submit the registration form, you will receive an email with a link to the Digital Advisor Portal. You must complete your application by creating an account and submitting all required information and documents to the portal.

Applications are processed in the order of initial application date, from oldest to newest.

Impact on your previous application

If you applied before October 5, 2022 and have not been approved yet, check your email inbox for an email from CDAP Digital Advisor Services with instructions on how to update your application. If you cannot find this email in your inbox, contact us.

Service Commitment

CDAP strives to process applications within 30 days of receiving a completed application through the new streamlined process.

Important notes

  • The result of your application will be communicated to you by email. Your application to be a digital advisor is only approved when you receive a welcome email from CDAP.
  • Digital Advisors that are already approved by CDAP are not impacted by the change.
