Canada Revenue Agency – Scientific Research and Experimental Development program

The Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program is the Government of Canada's largest federal incentive program for research and development. It provides tax credits and investment tax incentives to encourage businesses of all sizes to conduct scientific research and experimental development in Canada. On average, the SR&ED program provides more than $4.4 billion in tax credits to over 19,000 claimants annually. It supports and encourages Canadian businesses of all sizes, across all industry sectors, to conduct work that leads to new scientific knowledge and/or advances technology.
