For some of us, that means staying home, while for others, it means continuing to deliver essential services.

Voiceover: The pandemic resulted in great needs for personal protective equipment. Even our front-line health care workers faced shortages. Mitchell Plastics, an auto parts supplier, was one of the many businesses that came forward to help Canadians.

The Kitchener, Ontario, company retooled so that it could manufacture face shields to help fight the pandemic. ISED provided ongoing support and worked with the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association to make it happen.

Minister Bains: The federal government is proud to work with companies such as Mitchell Plastics, not only as a matchmaker but also as a first customer, purchasing these made-in-Canada face shields for Canadians across the country. Canada, we're in this together and we're stronger together!
