1.0 Inspection certificates

An inspection certificate is to be issued as required by the applicable act.

1.1 Electricity and gas

The accredited organization is subject to the requirements of bulletin GEN-27—Policy on the Issuance of Inspection Certificates and the Recording of Test Results & Reverification Periods Required Under the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act relating to the issuance of inspection certificates. Any inspection certificate issued must meet the requirements of section 21 of the Electricity and Gas Inspection Regulations. The contractor’s registration number must be included on the inspection certificate as per section 8.6 of this standard.

1.2 Weights and measures

1.2.1 Inspection certificates (device examination certificates)

A device examination certificate is to be issued as required by the Weights and Measures Act.

The Online Reporting Application is to be used to issue device examination certificates. The use of this application is a requirement applicable to all weights and measures authorized service providers and an essential condition for the granting and maintenance of accreditation of weights and measures authorized service providers.

Authorized service providers must comply with the Online Reporting Application Terms and Conditions of Use and submit online device examination data and results for the issuance of device examination certificates.
