The prerequisite exam ensures that candidates have the necessary mathematics, reading and deductive abilities to certify devices under the Weights and Measures Act. You must register a minimum of 30 days prior to a scheduled exam date. The exam must also be completed a minimum of 30 days prior to registering or participating in one of the core courses.
The exam consists of multiple choice questions, which must be completed within 90 minutes, and has a pass mark of 70%. Candidates who do not obtain a passing mark within three attempts will not be eligible to participate in training courses.
There is no fee for this exam.
