ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation

Many of the calibration services offered by Measurement Canada's Approval and Calibration Services Laboratory (ACSL) are accredited to international standard ISO/IEC 17025—General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. This accreditation is granted by the Calibration Laboratory Assessment Service (CLAS) of the National Research Council of Canada. Measurement Canada's ACSL is accredited to perform calibrations listed on its CLAS certificate, number 2009-03. The certificates of calibration and designation created by Measurement Canada that fall under this scope bear the CLAS logo.

In its role as a regulator, Measurement Canada chooses what information is relevant to report on the certificates that it issues for calibrations. The ACSL keeps any information not presented on the certificate, but required under ISO/IEC 17025, and makes it available to its clients upon request. In accordance with Government of Canada privacy policies, this information is only provided to the requestor of the calibration service for the certificate in question. To request this information, add a comment on the Calibration Services Request form or contact the Approval and Calibration Services Laboratory.
