OSB/CAIRP Guide to Promote Diversity and Inclusion (br04562)

December 10, 2021

The Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB) and the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) are pleased to announce the publication of the OSB/CAIRP Guide to Promote Diversity and Inclusion - Best Practices and Resources to support Licensed Insolvency Trustees (LITs).

The guide is the result of ongoing collaboration between the OSB and CAIRP and follows the June 18, 2021, joint statement acknowledging the importance of improving representativeness in the Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) profession, and the commitment to develop resources for LITs to increase diversity and inclusion within their organizations.

Both the OSB and CAIRP believe that a diverse and inclusive LIT profession with a broad range of skills and perspectives may better meet the complex needs of the financially burdened Canadian population it serves. The OSB and CAIRP remain committed to fostering and advocating for increased diversity and inclusion within the LIT profession and invite you to consult the guide and consider how you can apply the best practices and resources within your organizations.
