Teaching approach

Mrs. Arnold's students work together to conceive, create, develop and operate a business. Using skills from across the curriculum, they learn to solve problems, deal with conflict, cooperate with others and deal with the public.

Outstanding achievements

  • Mrs. Arnold and her students have developed many community partnerships through the Junior Achievement (JA) program that provides support, guidance and donations. These include SK Ministry of Education, the Chamber of Commerce and many local businesses.
  • Students – or JA company members – are encouraged to monitor, address or eliminate their carbon footprint.
  • Margot's JA companies have excelled provincially and nationally, winning several awards and nominated for others. Two JA companies have achieved the highest award nationally two years in a row, the Chamber of Commerce's "Company of the Year" award.
