Star Odyssée, Disney Performing Arts on Stage, the Festival Jazz Pop de Québec… the possibilities are endless with Vincent Bilodeau's passion! This music teacher certainly isn't short on imagination when it comes to making his students' school experience innovative and enriching.
Teaching approach
Mr. Bilodeau feels that it's important to consider the diverse backgrounds of his students and he works hard to match his lessons and projects to outside resources – an integral part of his love for differentiated learning.
Outstanding achievements
- Through grants, Mr. Bilodeau has been able to create a music room at his school, complete with a stage, new instruments, state-of-the-art audio equipment, and a soundproof recording studio. Mr. Bilodeau also set up Quebec City's first Rock & Pop Music Profile in order to train the next generation of artists.
- Mr. Bilodeau has created partnerships with established musical artists, and his students have performed with Jean Marc Couture (winner of Star Académie) and Luc de Larochellière.
- Mr. Bilodeau's students qualified for the Disney Performing Arts on Stage program and performed at the Waterside Stage in Disney Spring on April 3, 2017.
- Winner of many gold and silver awards in various contests and festivals (e.g.: The Festival Jazz Pop de Québec).
