Canadore College is receiving funding under the Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund, which aims to reinvigorate Canada's research and science base, address existing infrastructure needs while contributing to Canada's long-term innovation and sustainability objectives.

The Center will serve as a national model for health care which incorporates intergenerational living, teaching and a learning facility adjacent to a 144 unit retirement residence. A 45,000 square foot state of the art academic learning, recreation center and an integrated interprofessional rehabilitation clinic will incorporate both western and traditional indigenous healing practices. The research gathered will form a national strategy for caring of the older person.
