We should do whatever possible to allow people to get around copyrights. We should block intermediaries from preventing people from accessing copyrights.
The idea of a copyright is to allow folks to construct walls around specific types of ideas or works. Rich people can always get over those barriers without trouble. Less rich people can sometimes get over them. Poor people can never get over them. Its classic class warfare and in a society as systematically racist as Canada's is, copyrights are systematically racist too. The goal of any progressive reform to these laws should be to ensure that everyone can get over a copyright barrier, regardless of their personal wealth.
