Amendments to existing equipment certifications and/or registrations
You must submit an application in order to:
- add an additional model
- provide model modification details (hardware or software)
- demonstrate compliance of module integrated in host
- Request certification for a new model, based on a previous certification.
Permissive changes
Permissive changes (PC) include adding a new product to an existing certification (C1PC) and product modifications (C2PC, C3PC, C4PC).
Apply for a permissive change in order to:
- add a new model to an existing model certification (C1PC)
- demonstrate continued compliance of a certified model after hardware modification (C2PC)
- demonstrate continued compliance of a certified model after software/firmware modification (C3PC)
- demonstrate continued compliance of a certified module after being integrated in a host product (C4PC)
Multiple Listing of Certification/Registration
Apply for a multiple listing to obtain certification for a model under one company, based on the existing certification of an identical model under a different company.
Transfer of Ownership
Apply for a partial transfer of certification/registration if you have acquired a family of certified products from another company, where the other company is still in business and responsible for other certified products.

Full transfer of ownership occurs when a company takes full control of an existing company and all certifications/registrations become the responsibility of the new company.

How to apply
In order to perform any of the application processes mentioned on this page, you must begin by performing a search.
You require a Web Profile for these applications. If you do not already have one, visit the Online registration page.

Search for your equipment through the Radio Equipment List (REL) or the Telecommunications Apparatus Register (TAR)

Select your equipment by clicking on its Hardware Version Identification Number (HVIN)

Click on the “Create Application” button
From there, you will be able to select your application process, which will bring you to a login page.
Search for radio equipment certified in Canada. You may also make applications to amend existing certifications.
Search for terminal equipment registered in Canada. You may also make applications to amend existing registrations.
