Land Mobile – Mobile station
Station List
Select the Unknown hyperlink in the “Station name and address or Area of operation (municipality, province, or region)” column to enter information about the station(s).
Station
- Number of mobile stations, all types (required) – Indicate total number of stations to be covered by the licence (all types e.g. vehicles, walkie-talkies, etc.).
- Area of operation (municipality, province, or region) (required) – Describe the area (zone) where the mobile stations will be operating. Provide the address of the site (123 street, city, province) or the area (e.g. city and surrounding area).
- Licensee Station Reference Name – Label used by licence holder to identify the station, displayed on the licence. (only if necessary)

- Data Entry Tip: Click Lookup to populate the above information via the Radio Equipment List. Select the appropriate radio from the search results and click its Copy button.
Transmitter Specifications Search
Search by any of the following specifications:
- Hardware Version Identification Number (HVIN) – Enter the model/type of the transmitter
- Company Name – Enter the manufacturer of the transmitter
- Product Marketing Name – The name or model number under which the product is marketed/offered for sale in Canada.
- Certification Number – Issued by ISED and certifies that the equipment complies with established Radio Standards Specifications (RSS) requirements, in accordance with the appropriate Radio Standards Procedure (RSP).
Once the make and model have been found, use the Copy button to select the row that matches the type, frequency range (MHz), designation of emission, occupied bandwidth and Power Range (W) that matches the radio you are licensing. These specifications will automatically populate in the application when the model is selected using the Copy button.
- Data Entry Tip: Click Lookup to populate the above information via the Radio Equipment List. Select the appropriate radio from the search results and click its Copy button.
- Low Frequency (0-99999) [MHz]

- Designation of Emission (including necessary bandwidth) (required)
- Occupied Bandwidth [kHz] (required)
- RF Output Power [W] (required)
- Describe all communication with stations not covered by the licence; include the channels to be used for mobile-to-mobile communications. This could represent a third party from whom you would require a letter of authority to use their authorized frequency(ies).
- I certify that the above radio equipment and any other equipment used within these technical parameters are certified or technically acceptable for use in Canada. (required)
- If "No," please provide or attach additional radio equipment information – Describe or attach a document later in the application process.
Click Save to continue.
Click Assign in the “Channels” column to add a channel.

Add Channel
- Communication type (required) – Drop down
- Channel to be selected during application processing/analysis (required):
- Yes if you want ISED to select a channel for you
- No if you have a channel selected for consideration by ISED
- Standard Channel (required) – Defaulted to Standard
- Click Lookup
- Communication type – Auto populated
- Frequency band:
- 30 MHz to 300 MHz
- 300 MHz to 960 MHz
- Click Show allocation to dee the next selection
- Allocation Name – See appropriate Standard Radio System Plan for band frequency allocations.
Click Select to return to “Add Channel.”
Click Assign.
Ensure the checkbox in the “Select” column is checked.
Click Add to Emission.
Click Next to continue.
- Click Lookup
Attachments
Attach all pertinent files to support your application.
- Select Attachment – Click Select File to browse your computer's files and select one (1) file to be attached (repeat this step as often as necessary).
- Attachment Type (required) – Select the appropriate attachment type to describe the file.
- Description – Include a short description to provide further information.
- Click Add Attachment to upload the file; otherwise it will not be included.
Click Next to continue.
Channel Details
Click Next to return to “Application Summary” and review your application.
Review and Submission of the Application
- When the entry of information is completed and the application is ready for submission, click Save then Validate to confirm the application is complete.
- If there is any missing information within the application an error message in red will appear at the top of the page along with an error message displayed to the right of each section where validation failed. Click its corresponding Edit button to make the required corrections. Save and Validate as required until all validations are passed successfully.
- Select Submit to ISED when your application has been successfully validated.
