Re: Consultation on how to implement Canada's CUSMA commitment to extend the general term of copyright protection

The Writers Guild of Canada (WGC) is the national association representing approximately 2,400 professional screenwriters working in English-language film, television, radio, and digital media production in Canada.

We have reviewed the comments of the Société des auteurs de radio, télévision et cinéma (SARTEC), prepared jointly with the Société des auteurs et compositeurs dramatiques (SACD), and the Société civile des auteurs multimédia (SCAM), submitted to this consultation on March 30, 2021. The WGC agrees with and supports those comments by our colleagues in this matter.
