Hello Copyright Consultant,

I am very disappointed that yet again, we're wasting time trying to bash through an ineffective domain level block for an issue that is effectively solved by copyright holders simply producing a more competitive offering. Fighting for pennies by limiting and damaging the internet from pirates who will simply not buy something, to say it again, these are mostly NOT lost sales.

Various studies and examples have shown a reduction in piracy by making a more competitive and consumer friendly offering, such as Netflix's effect on piracy, where piracy of media offered by Netflix was sharply reduced. In direct comparison with HBO, where HBO made it a lot more expensive and difficult to use and piracy shot up of Game of Thrones.

Government should seek to ask the people who are most impacted by this, instead of listening to the people with the most money.

I find it hilarious that they wording is very careful to ignore the Copyright Art Review, which specifically stated that domain level blocking is not an acceptable solution. See the attached picture to the text.

Another thing that is obvious, is the public has been very well educated now from ads on YouTube about VPNs and the ability to use encrypted DNS servers online. Both of these technologies are present in every browser that's modern and would automatically ignore any domain level block, as the encrypted request can simply go to an American server.

I propose that the Copyright Act Review be the authoritative interpretation listened to and followed by rights holders and their lawyers; however I do acknowledge that lobbyists, lawyers and public servants are transparent in their enjoyment of kick backs and favours from deep pockets in the entertainment industry.

Please prove me wrong.
