Publication of RSS-198, Issue 1
Notice is hereby given that Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has published the following standard:
- Radio Standards Specification RSS-198, Issue 1, Flexible Use Broadband Equipment Operating in the Band 3900-3980 MHz which sets out the requirements for the certification of flexible use broadband equipment used in fixed and/or mobile services operating in the frequency band 3900-3980 MHz.
General information
All testing laboratories currently recognized for RSS-192 will be recognized for RSS-198 automatically. The Wireless Device Testing Laboratories webpage has been updated accordingly.
In addition, all certification bodies will be recognized for RSS-198 automatically as part of their Radio Scope 5 recognition.
Testing laboratories and certification bodies who submit renewals to the department after Feb 9, 2024 must ensure that RSS-198 is included on their scope of accreditation.
Our Radio Scope and Radio Equipment Standards list have been amended accordingly.
