Notice is hereby given that Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has published the following standard:

Radio Standards Specification RSS-252, Issue 2, Intelligent Transportation Systems’ (ITS) On-Board Units (OBUs) in the 5895 – 5925 MHz Band, which sets out certification requirements for radio apparatus, excluding Road Side Units (RSUs), operating in the 5895 – 5925 MHz frequency band intended for use in Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) applications.
General information
The document was updated to introduce the new ITS technology and update the frequencies, 5895-5925 MHz, that are available for use by the ITS OBU devices as a result of the decision SMSE-012-22, Decision on the Technical and Policy Framework for Radio Local Area Network Devices in the 5850-5895 MHz Band and for Intelligent Transportation Systems in the 5895-5925 MHz Band, made in December 2022.
