RSS-248 specifies that alternate geolocation technologies may be accepted by ISED. Accordingly, below is a list of alternative geolocation technologies that have been approved by ISED for use with Standard Power Access Points or fixed client devices operating in the 6 GHz band. This list will be updated on an ongoing basis, as new technologies are approved by ISED.
Evaluation of geolocation technologies can be time consuming, therefore, parties are encouraged to contact ISED as early as possible in their technology development to ensure the evaluation can be conducted efficiently.
