Annex G of RSS-102.SAR.MEAS sets out the general test methods to use in assessing the compliance of final products operating in the 4 MHz to 6 GHz frequency band implementing time-averaged specific absorption rate (TAS) algorithms approved by ISED.
Only the ISED approved TAS algorithms listed below can be implemented into wireless devices, including RF modules, for the purpose of equipment certification. The certification application shall meet all the requirements and include all the required test cases in RSS-102.SAR.MEAS irrespective of when an algorithm was approved by ISED.

TAS algorithm approval is a lengthy process which takes several weeks and in some cases months, especially, when a physical evaluation is warranted. Applicants and other responsible parties (e.g. manufacturers, product integrators, recognized test laboratories/certification bodies) should consult RSS-102.SAR.MEAS and contact ISED as early as possible.
