Success story: Modo

Based in Vancouver, but with vehicles across British Columbia, Modo is a car-sharing co-operative that offers its members access to self-service vehicles, helping to reduce carbon footprints and the costs associated with car ownership. This sustainable transportation model addresses the growing demand for alternative mobility solutions while encouraging an eco-friendlier lifestyle.

The co-operative allows members to rent a car by the hour or day, providing great flexibility without the hassles of vehicle ownership. In addition to lowering costs for its members, Modo fosters the creation of more sustainable and connected communities. Modo projects that one-fifth of its fleet will be zero-emission electric vehicle by the end of 2025.

Modo perfectly demonstrates how a co-operative approach in transportation services can enhance accessibility, environmental stewardship, and community collaboration, contributing to a greener society.
