Corporations Canada's first annual report on Diversity of Boards of Directors and Senior Management of Federal Distributing Corporations is now available

Corporations Canada has released its first annual diversity disclosure report which outlines the findings related to the diversity disclosures of federal distributing corporations.

Since 2020, federal distributing corporations governed by the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA), which are typically publicly traded companies, are required to disclose to their shareholders and to Corporations Canada the representation of women, Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Inuit and Métis), persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities on their boards of directors and among senior management.

The 2020 findings will establish a baseline that will be used to measure year-over-year progress of federal distributing corporations.
