The Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP) Ecosystem Fund supports Black-led not-for-profit organizations across Canada that help Black entrepreneurs start, grow and scale their businesses.
Through investments in business support organizations, the BEP Ecosystem Fund strengthens access to mentorship, training, networking opportunities, financial planning and other services that help Black-owned businesses succeed.
The Government of Canada is committed to supporting Canadian entrepreneurs from all communities to build a stronger, more inclusive economy that works for everyone. As part of its commitment to support Black entrepreneurs, it launched the B Ecosystem Fund in 2021. The BEP Ecosystem Fund was bolstered with an additional $100 million through the 2024 Fall Economic Statement's investment in Black entrepreneurship.
The BEP Ecosystem Fund is delivered through Canada's Regional Development Agencies:
- Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)
- Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
- Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor)
- Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario)
