As artificial intelligence (AI) transforms our society, workplaces and how we work, Canadians need access to digital skills training more than ever. The Government of Canada is continuing to invest in equipping young Canadians and educators with the skills they need to succeed in the jobs of the future in an increasingly digital world.
CanCode is a Government of Canada program that funds not-for-profit organizations to deliver digital skills training to Canadian students (kindergarten to Grade 12) and their teachers—with a particular emphasis on underrepresented groups. The program focuses on building foundational digital skills—including coding, artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and digital content development.
Through CanCode funded programs, students and educators can access free, high quality digital skills training that supports success in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields and prepares them for future opportunities.
