Social and environmental impact have always been important to Aisle, guiding their business principles. Aisle's aspiration is to make the most comfortable, sustainable, effective, reusable menstrual products in the world. 10C Shared Space is a hub for community activators and changemakers in the City of Guelph. Among other facilities, it offers a kitchen that helps to support people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in Guelph and Wellington County, to develop local food ventures designed to create social outcomes and economic opportunities. 10C has been supported through the Government of Canada's Investment Readiness Program.
Lu'ma Native Housing Society is an incorporated social enterprise based in Vancouver, BC, which provides a broad range of services that improve the social determinants of health. Lu'ma is opening an urban Indigenous pharmacy in 2024 as a new enterprise offering a 'Two-Eyed Seeing' care model. Lu'ma has been supported through the Government of Canada's Investment Readiness Program.
The Ikajurtigiit Solidarity Coop is an Indigenous organization, with a majority of members who are Inuit. It provides general contractor services while providing training for its own staff in the construction trades (e.g., assisting Nunavimmiut apprentices in obtaining carpentry accreditation). Through consultation with local communities, it identified two major challenges in Nunavik (Quebec): Employability and housing within Inuit communities. The Ikajurtigiit Solidarity Coop is presently active addressing employability and now intends on working with Inuit communities regarding housing issues. The Ikajurtigiit Solidarity Coop has been supported through the Government of Canada's Investment Readiness Program.
