This service is provided to accredited examiners who have conducted an exam and wish to request a new professional certification on behalf of the applicant. Only the following types of certifications can be requested, depending on the examiner's accreditation.
- Restricted Operator Certificate-Aeronautical (ROC-A)
- Restricted Operator Certificate-Maritime Commercial (ROC-MC)
- General Operator Certificate (GOC)
The examiner can request both GOC and ROC-MC certifications at the same time, if required.
Step 1
You must provide your examiner accreditation number, certificate serial number, as well as your date of birth. This is to ensure that you are the holder of a valid ROC-A, ROC-MC or GOC certification and that you are an accredited examiner. Your examiner number can be found on your letter of accreditation and your certificate serial number can be found on your certificate.
Step 2
Fill in the mandatory fields and click the "Submit" button to submit your request to us. If errors are found with the data provided, they will be listed at the top of the page.
Note that we only accept a Canadian address. If the applicant does not have a Canadian address then leave the address, city, province and postal code fields blank and check the International Address checkbox.
GOC certifications require a recent "Signed" citizenship-style photograph of the applicant to be mailed to the Radio Operator Certificate Service Centre regardless of whether or not an attachment has been included.
An Attachment is not permitted for ROC-MC certifications.
Click "Submit" to send the request. Please be patient while the request is submitted since it will take time to process the attachment file.
Step 3
A confirmation page is displayed including a confirmation number which you can print and keep for your records. Use this confirmation number to refer to this request in case you need assistance.
Your request will be reviewed by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and a printed certificate will be mailed upon approval. Either you or the applicant may be contacted for further information before your request is approved.
The printed certificate will be mailed to the applicant if a Canadian address was provided, otherwise the certificate will be mailed to you, the examiner.
