Summary

This research by the Union des consommateurs focused in particular on the perceptions consumers have of increases in insurance premiums. The report is in three parts: 1) the first reviews statistical studies by Canadian insurance companies of accidents and variations in premiums and compensation payments in recent years; 2) the second presents a report by the survey firm CROP, which carried out the research along the lines commissioned by the Union des consommateurs; 3) the third develops an analysis on which the conclusions on the highlights of this research are based.
