Requirements to apply for an AIS AtoN

Approval must be obtained from the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) before an AIS AtoN MMSI can be issued by ISED.  Contact the CCG at to request an approval.  Once you receive the approval, attach a copy with Form G.

The Canadian Cost Guard also recommend to consult their website at before submitting for an AIS / AtoN form

IMPORTANT: Radio equipment must be certified under the applicable Canadian Radio Standard Specifications for use in Canada.
