Changing the way the world sprays

2023-03-15

A partnership made up of Canadian startups, small businesses and a research institution is poised to transform how farmers around the world spot and destroy weeds. Led by Precision AI, the partners have developed drone-based computer vision technology that enables farmers to apply herbicides in a surgically precise manner to weeds in row-crop fields. The advancement is estimated to reduce herbicide use by up to 95%, which translates into cost savings of an estimated $52 per acre per growing season.
