There is an old saying that we know more about the far side of the Moon than we know what is underneath the surface of the Earth’s oceans. The XO-G2 project wants to change that. Led by XOCEAN Canada, this coast-to-coast collaborative project combines a next generation uncrewed surface vessel with a state-of-the-art underwater towed body of sensors. Together, a fleet of them will survey the world’s oceans faster, deeper and further offshore than any other vessel—and will do it all with negligible carbon emissions.
