Artificial intelligence (AI) represents a set of complex and powerful technologies that have the potential to transform every sector and industry. AI can help address some of Canada's most pressing challenges in areas such as health and the environment, while creating new opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
Canada's AI advisory bodies provide expertise on different aspects of AI development and use, including advancing the country's AI strategy and addressing AI safety and risks. The Prime Minister's National Council on Artificial Intelligence complements the work of existing advisory bodies, while the AI Strategy Task Force completed its mandate following the launch of Canada's National Artificial Intelligence Strategy: AI for All in June 2026.
Prime Minister's National Council on Artificial Intelligence
