Strengthening Canada’s defence industry

On this page

Canada’s Defence Industrial Strategy sets out a framework to ensure that Canadian industry plays a central role in generational efforts to rearm, rebuild and reinvest in the Canadian Armed Forces.

As part of this work, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) is launching a defence concierge service to help businesses working in defence navigate government programs, services and opportunities. Through the concierge service, firms active in one of Canada’s 10 sovereign capabilities will be directed to the most appropriate government resource.

Defence concierge service

The service provides a coordinated, single-window approach to help businesses working in defence and dual-use technologies access information and resources to support their growth. Building on ISED’s existing expertise and partnerships across government, the service connects businesses with the right supports at the right time.

The defence concierge service is launching in phases. At this stage, companies can get started by submitting their company details. A member of the team will follow up to learn more about your business, assess your needs and connect you to the most appropriate government programs and services.

Does your business fit within one of the following key sovereign capabilities?

  • Aerospace
  • Ammunition
  • Digital systems
  • In-service support
  • Personnel protection
  • Sensors
  • Space
  • Specialized manufacturing
  • Training and simulation
  • Uncrewed and autonomous systems

If so, take the next step by connecting with the defence concierge service.
