Consumer liability waivers - An accident waiting to happen
The project will study consumer perceptions and understanding of liability waivers in relation to recreational activities with the intent to uncover specific challenges faced by consumers, the extent of such issues, and the impact on consumer protection.
Selling speed: Reforming broadband advertising regulations in Canada
This study will update PIAC's previous research study titled "Transparency in Broadband Advertising to Canadian Consumers" (2013), through a comparative "then and now" lens. The study will examine how Internet service providers in Canada often focus broadband advertising to consumers on speed claims, when other key information also impacts the quality of service delivery.
