The report contains a study on travel-related legislation in Canada, the United States and Europe. In view of its impact on the issue studied, Option consommateurs focused on the phenomenon of credit card chargebacks. A brief study on trip cancellation and travel interruption insurance was also carried out to determine which policies offer protection in the event that an air carrier declares bankruptcy and under what conditions.
