Radio Licence – Data Entry Guide

Select one of the options below for guidance on entering information in a radio licence application. Note that these guides are not exhaustive and describe some of the fields you will see during data entry.

New radio licence

All licence application types
Use this link for information applicable to all licences.
Aeronautical mobile station (aircraft)
Use this link for information applicable when applying for a licence for a station on board an aircraft.
Aeronautical base station
Use this link for information applicable when applying for a licence for an aeronautical base station.
Maritime mobile station (vessel)
Use this link for information applicable when applying for a licence for a station on board a maritime vessel.
Maritime base station

Land Mobile (Base-Mobile Systems)

Copying an existing licence

To copy an existing licence, you must be logged in to your Web Profile.

  1. Navigate to Radio Licensing Services then click Apply.
  2. Click the tab that corresponds to the service of the licence you want to copy.
  3. Select the Copy button associated with the type of licence you want to copy.
    Note: If you have not signed in to the SMS already, you will be prompted to do so.
  4. Search for the authorization number in your account for the licence you want to copy.
  5. In the search results, click on the authorization number of the licence to be copied. This will make a copy of the licence and assign a new authorization number to the copy. This new licence is now in draft mode and is ready to be edited as required.
  6. When you have completed the entry of information, Save then Validate the application.
    1. Fix any errors that are reported and validate as required.
    2. Submit your application when it has successfully passed validation.
