Scam alert: CIPO has received reports that scammers are posing as trademark registration services or law firms and emailing fake statements of opposition, as well as correspondence falsely claiming that a proceeding has been started against a client's pending trademark application. If you're unsure about a correspondence concerning an opposition proceeding, verify it directly with CIPO.
