Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada plays a key role in ensuring the place of Canadian businesses in the global economy. The Strategic Policy Sector (SPS) is responsible for researching and developing international policy options to help Canadian businesses to compete and succeed internationally. SPS is also involved in international treaty negotiations and in promoting Canadian views internationally in key policy areas.
